Procrastination

So, I'm feeling better than I had been (just part of being a woman, I suppose), Hubby is finally back to just being allergies (the sickness lasted 5 days), Monkey's on day 3 of hers...

I have been getting a lot done, honestly, but I still have so much to do.  I shouldn't even have my laptop powered up.   But, I wanted to brag:  I did FOUR hats yesterday!  I felt so accomplished!  They're presents, so I'm not posting pictures of them (and they're already wrapped and I'd forgotten to snap the pictures).

So, I should probably get back to work now.


OH!  I wanted to also add:

Happy Birthday, Mama!!!  

(It's my mama's birthday today, in case you didn't figure that out.)

We're all sick, so I should be asleep, however....

Yep.  We're all sick here.  But I'm still crocheting away ( no worries: pieces will be washed before sent)... Well, technically, I'm sitting in bed blogging right now, but I will get back to crocheting shortly.

I was looking through other blogs and came across some posts... As much as I WANT to keep this blog strictly for Kypress Designs, I want to bring some more of "me" in... So, in the about page (or maybe I'll add a new page), I'm going to add some photos from my wedding, links to the girl that did my dress and the photographer, and a little bit of awesomeness.

I probably won't do that tonight.  I want to.  I've just got a two year old in my bed that isn't feel great and is making some weird noises from her stomach and nether regions (aka diaper)....

PURE AWESOMENESS

So, in discovering my cousin-in-law's blog, I stumbled upon this blog (questionable content and language) .   It is AMAZING.  I have spent most of the night laughing my butt off...

Now, I need to get back to crocheting.  I have a lot of awesome pieces that I'm working on and trying to be quick about so that I can post pictures and flaunt my awesomeness for you.

I can't make any promises though, because we're all sick here--even the two year old.

This is the very first piece that I ever made and was proud of.  I created it back in 2006 and I have held onto it since then.

I'm not entirely computer savvy..

I know that no one reads my blog (yet), but I will continue to write as if someone does. I just figured out how to create tabs!  I feel like I accomplished something MAJOR now.  As you can see, I have multiple tabs up there, all dedicated to something important!  I am really excited about this.

Updates!!!!!!

I am allowing myself to take orders again!  Last night I gave my friend all of the items that I made for the auction.  I'm keeping them in my prayers.  I also am awaiting a message with the pictures of what I gave them--silly me forgot to take photos of my own pieces!!!!  But, as soon as I have the photos, I will add them to this post.

taking a break for some important matters

I am putting most of my orders on hold for a bit while I work on something important.  On January 14th, there's going to be a Chili cook-off competition, bake sale and silent auctions to help raise money for this little boy named Elias.  He's just about two years old and has cancer.  His mommy is his caretaker and is pregnant with his little sister.  He's going through chemo, so she can't hug him and hold him like she wants/needs to.

Yay!  My first blog of the new year!  Happy 2011!  I hope everyone was safe while drinking last night/this morning.  There is a reason why I crochet instead of sewing.  I was reminded this morning/last night.
